Sagan Kahler, Esq.

My name is Sagan Kahler. I was born and raised in Tiffin, Ohio and currently live in downtown Cleveland. I started working at AJLJ as a law clerk in my third year of law school and am thrilled to join the team as a lawyer.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved theatre and school. The more I’ve come to understand about our world, the more I’ve wanted to make it a better place. The courtroom is a perfect blend of public speaking, academia, and helping others. I find criminal law to be exciting, intellectually stimulating, and meaningful, and I cannot imagine doing anything else! 

I graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish minor. In 2023, I graduated magna cum laude from Cleveland State University College of Law. 

Attending dance fitness classes, both as a participant and an instructor, is how I express myself and meet friends. I love to sing, write songs, and play music on the piano and ukulele. I am also a huge nerd who loves board games and video games! 

Criminal justice is more than a career to me. I have spent countless hours watching police interrogations and court proceedings online.  I am fascinated by the interaction between individuals and their environment. There are many perspectives to consider when a crime is alleged, and understanding the psychology behind decision making is part of being a good attorney.
